Moore Teachers is looking for reliable, friendly, and dedicated individuals to fill non-teaching support roles within primary schools across Hertfordshire and West Essex. If you have a strong work ethic and take pride in making a difference behind the scenes, we want to hear from you.
What Roles Are We Recruiting For?
Cleaner
- Ensure classrooms, toilets, and communal areas are kept clean and hygienic.
- Carry out daily and deep cleaning tasks in line with school policies.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products safely.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school site.
Caretaker / Site Manager
- Oversee site maintenance and minor repairs.
- Unlock and secure school premises daily.
- Conduct health & safety checks and ensure compliance.
- Liaise with contractors, staff, and leadership teams as needed.
- Respond to emergencies such as leaks or breakages.
Kitchen Assistant
- Support school cooks with food preparation and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure food hygiene standards and health & safety procedures are followed.
- Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas.
Midday Supervisor / Playground Assistant
- Supervise pupils during lunch breaks in dining halls and playgrounds.
- Encourage safe and positive behaviour during unstructured times.
- Support children in resolving minor disputes and promoting inclusion.
- Administer basic first aid as needed (training provided if required).
School Office Staff / Receptionist
- Greet visitors, parents, and pupils warmly at the school reception.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and general administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate school records and registers.
- Support staff with photocopying, filing, and scheduling.
- Use school systems (e.g. SIMS or Arbor) to manage pupil data.
