Moore Teachers are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Rett Syndrome in a welcoming Nursery School in North Hertfordshire. This full-time role runs from now until the end of the academic year.
The Role:
You will be working closely with a young child in the nursery, providing tailored support that helps them engage, communicate and participate meaningfully in daily activities.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 support throughout the nursery day

Adapting tasks and play-based activities
-
Supporting communication and sensory needs

Liaising with the SENCO and external professionals as required

Promoting independence, inclusion and emotional wellbeing

About you:
You will be a kind, patient and proactive practitioner who is confident supporting children with additional needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in Early Years
- Ideally has experience with SEND or complex needs
- Can adapt activities to suit the child’s individual needs
- Builds warm, trusting relationships quickly
- Is reliable, consistent and committed to supporting progress
