Moore Teachers are recruiting an experienced Year 1 Teacher to provide full-time maternity cover at a welcoming primary school in Harlow. This contract runs from January for three terms, offering full class responsibility and payment to the teacher’s scale.

 

The Role:

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering high-quality lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum

  • Plan, assess, and track pupils’ progress, ensuring learning objectives are met

  • Provide a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership to maintain consistent standards of teaching

This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a class in a supportive school while providing continuity for pupils during the maternity period.

  • Has experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1
  • Can confidently manage a full class and deliver the curriculum effectively

  • Can provide stability and high-quality teaching during the maternity cover period
